What can you donate to hospice?
These charities that serve the aged will come to your home and pick-up your clothing donations, shoes donations, household items donations, and furniture donations. There are many hospice charity groups that will pick up donations.
What are hospice donations used for?
Hospice Thrift Shoppes need your donations of gently used furniture, clothing, housewares, jewelry and vintage items. If you have items of furniture to donate, we will pick them up at your home.
Does hospice take clothing donations?
Any one of our Hospice Shops can accept donated goods. Please be aware that we can only accept clean, saleable items and dumping outside of opening hours is prohibited.

Clothing – As I mentioned earlier, there are many residents who don’t have family members donating to them. They still need clothing. Calling the nursing home and asking for sizes of those that are in need is a great idea and a thoughtful thing to do.

If you do not have insurance coverage and cannot otherwise afford the service, a hospice may provide care free of charge or on a sliding scale basis. This financial assistance is provided through donations, gifts, grants or other community sources.
